The focus area of the IB: Cellular and molecular technologies


The project “Alphavirus-based delivery of chitinase-like-protein gene for anti-tumour programing of macrophages”.


Project ERANET Alpha-Chit, 2016-2018. Participants: TSU, Heidelberg University, and Latvian Biomedical Research and Study centre. Total budget 355,000 Euro.



Area of focus: OMICS technologies and data mining


The project “Establishment of an international data-centre of biomedical data”.


Participants: TSU, Arizona State University (USA), Altai State University.



The IB area of focus: Neuroimaging and medical imaging


The project “Development of computer diagnostic systems for recovery of intellectual areas of the brain and predicting risks of neonatal stroke”


Participants: Saratov State University, Tomsk State University, Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry, University Hospital Department of Neonatology (Switzerland, Zurich), European Laboratory for Non Linear Spectroscopy (LENS) (Italy,  Sesto Fiorentino), The University of Western Australia (Australia, Crawley), Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) (China, Wuhan), and Medical Research Centre of Oulu (Finland).


The project “Development of a prototype of X-ray spectrometric computer tomograph”


Customer: Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, planned funding – 500 million Rub., funding of the international investor – 450 million Rub.



The IB area of focus: Medical Materials Science


Establishment of Interagency Network Centre “Volumetric reconstruction of bone defects”.


Participants: Sergey V Mishinov of Novosibirsk Research Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics, Scientific research institution – Institute of Strength Physics and Materials Science (SB RAS), Tomsk Research Institute of Oncology, TSU, and Innovative Medical and Technologal Centre. The mentioned Centre will be opened in 2016.


Development of polymer synthesis technology using 3D Printing.


Participants: TSU, 3D Printing solutions, and Johnson & Johnson.


Development of technologies and centre for treatment of vestibular dysfunctions.


Participants: TSU, Maastricht University (the Netherlands), and Institute of microsurgery (Tomsk).



The IB area of focus: Biotechnology


Development of nutritional therapy for correction of human microbiota.


Participants: TSU, LLC ArtLife, LLC Kraft, and Moscow Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology.

Pilot programs:


Development of a new technology for transdermal base with xenon;


Olfactory test system for evaluating susceptibility to use of psychoactive substance and development of drug addiction.
